    Hello.
I’m interested in starting training in some MMA and want to get some help.
I’m 16 and want to know if that’s too young to join a club? I heard you have to be over 18 to fight in a MMA fight. Is that true? Could I join a club and train now and learn everything before turning 18? Or will clubs refuse you till your old enough?
I live in islandbridge so whats the best club that will take me?
I’ve seen a few clubs being talked about here but a lot of them are to far out for me.

    You may try here:

    http://celticmma.com/club.htm

Or even www.spartanmma.com and threecastlesmma.com are near to the red line luas. Each club will have a different view on age limits for training so you're best to get in touch with them individually. Best of luck.

Is Aisling one of Wardy's original students?

Thanks a lot for the clubs bro, do you train in any of them?
I was searching the internet and found a few myself.
The one in Tallagh is a bit to far out for me.

The one in inchicore, Celtic MMA is the closest club to me.
The KO martial arts club does classes for teenagers and is close enough to travel to, so is mmadublin.

    Too young at 16!:eek::eek:
I started at 13, first fight at 14 at the nsc during the summer and cage of truth a week ago. I only had 2 mma fights...but they were at a summer camp, not an actual competition and it was under league rules which means no head strikes basically.
So what I'm saying is...nows the perfect time to start!

Celtic MMA have lots of kids around 16-19 and Ian looks after them very well. Of course, I think you should travel to KO :D

Whatever you decide t do make sure you have fun at it!

I train in www.sbgnorthside.com which is a little far away for you. I recommend you find the club you think you'll be able to train in most often and try a couple of classes, if you like it, stick with it, if you don't, try the club that's closest to you after that.

If you go for http://www.sbgireland.com/ in Rathcoole you may be lucky enough to train with me haha.16 is definatly not too young as I started at 13 and have been addicted to it for the past year and a half or so.

I love kenpo terms. Is there an "abstract eye poke" in there at all?
