    Yes, but you'll need to get a mod chip installed. Unfortunately, they circumvent the copy protection to do their job (which can include playing pirated copies), so they're of uncertain legality* and can't be discussed here in any detail.

    Why can't you play legitimately bought US games on your legitimately bought PAL console without breaking the law? Because Nintendo hate you.

    *Not sure about here, but definitely illegal in the UK.

    It's weird how they do that these days.

    I remember when I was a kid, we moved back to Ireland after spending time in the states, and we had our NES chipped for us, there was nothing wrong with it back then...

    It's because NoE want your money -- and they don't want you to give it to NoA!

    Piss them off by buying a region-free DS ;)

    Also note that some ntsc games work on a chiped pal and others don't and can even destroy your wii if the game tries to update your wii.
