I can't find any mention anywhere. I was wondering if anyone knew of a public batting cage? Preferably fast pitch baseball.
Oh, and where can I get a bat?

You would get a bat in the larger Elverys stores. Not sure about batting cages.

The Elverys bats aint the best, well from my experience workin there, best bet is to get a bat from ebay. Batting cages dont exist in ireland but try and hook up with a team at www.baseballireland.com

LOL at the thought of batting cages in Ireland...I think there's 5 diamonds total! Elvery's had reasonable Wilson bats a few years ago...Other than that, forget it!

For bats, (and most of my other baseball equipment) I use http://www.covee.nl (jusy follow the links)

Based in Holland but decent, prices delivery etc.

Come along to the Baseball Ireland spring training (usually stars in Feb) and you can hack away in our batting cage to your hearts content :)

And 'hacking' is exactly what I would be doing. But it would be great fun to spend time with some baseball fans. Do you have a web page with some information I could bookmark? And thanks a million for the web page. I think I'll order me an X Bat soon here.

    Obliged,

    Wes

There's a gap in the market so - I know lots of people who would do it for the craic!

It's a good time. Folks in the states go to them that have nothing to do with Baseball otherwise. I used to go to an indoor one in north Austin, TX that was air conditioned and allowed alcohol. Mmm.....beer and batting cages...nutting like a bunch of drunk mercans armed with bats. Safety first!

Speaking of which, where is the 'Club Grounds', and will I need a ticket to attend? I am having some Baseball items sent to me from the states, so I will attend with my glove if I can.
Do any of the team hold 'pick up' games or practice? Is there a casual adult league that allows someone with a horrible schedule to sporadically attend?
