Do you have to leave the 360 turned on to have the controller charge? When I turn it off it keeps charging in a low powered state for a few mins then just seems to cut off. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.

You have to have the console turned on to start charging, you can then turn it off and it will keep charging at a lower rate, mine does anyway.

Or you could just get the socket charger, very handy and does two batteries at once.

Yeah I have the console turned on but as I said when it turns off it charges for a few mins then just stops, I'm wondering why it stops though?

This has happened to me a few times as well. Usually it stays on till it's finished charging but quite a few times it's just stopped after a minute or so for no reason.

Mind you I've had the opposite problem as well: it won't stop charging and the battery becomes red hot. This has happened several times and I think the battery has been damaged as a result since it doesn't hold a charge as long as it used to.

So no one has any ideas of a solution?
