    Hi all,

Windows recently downloaded an update (no problems there I have it set on auto download and I click install myself), except with this latest update I get the error message that it cant be installed.
Now I know I have to restart after an update for it to be installed correctly, I have restarted and turn off my pc a few times and the update still wont install.
The update file is "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1"
Any help as to what to do would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Google the error message, also see if there is any problem with your hardware : Control Panel | System | System Properties | Hardware | Device Manager.

Is this a fresh install of Windows? Which version of Windows?

I'm having trouble installing the same update too? Strange...
    And it's Vista 32 BTW.

What exactly is the error message, or is it a general unhelpful one?

Are you sure you have IE 6 at least?

Also disable antivirus while installing it.

    Try this, Good luck!
