Dell Ebay Outlet Problem

    Anyone having any trouble reaching them / paying for an item.

    I've tried to call Dell ebay outlet several times this afternoon using the number provided in the email after I won an auction. I've been transferred to various people who have tried to sell me new computers for far more (I had to spell ebay for him - no idea what I was talking about - advised me I would have no warranty), have advised me that dell ebay outlet is closed until the 3rd of December, and advised that there are technical difficulties and I would be called back in an indeterminate length of time, or 30 minutes to an hour depending on who I spoke to....

    I ordered a notebook last Monday and never got a confirmation email (and of course didnt take down the order number :o ) rang on the Tuesday and they gave me my internet web ref and confirmed it had gone through and I'd get a confirmation email...to date, havent received it but I did get through first thing yesterday morning on the 1850200791 number and they confirmed there was a huge backlog from this week and last and they were closing the phone-lines each afternoon to clear it.

    (Would have been good practise to have put a message up on the phone-line but I guess thats beside the point :rolleyes:) The guys in Dell on the regular sales number will have no access to the stock for these orders so I guess its really a case of waiting for them to clear the backlog and hopefully will be shipped next week.

    I bought three items from them and never had a problem. Although I waiting nearly a month on delivery of my laptop. They keep delaying for another the day before it due to be delivered.

    Have bought over the last week 5 items from them, 2 disappeared after I rang wondering where the emails were.
    Ordered 2 more today, and fk me they too are not on the system, so tomorrow morning I am about to get fierce annoyed.

    I'm getting pretty feckin annoyed with them myself now, rang yesterday as still no confirmation email or sign of anything happening after a week to be told I'd get a call back...which I didnt, chances are ordering from the main site with the 10% link would have been quicker at this rate.

    Did you not just ring them and give them the ebay item code, thats all I did. Do you have some sort spam filter on your mail?.

    Well the laptop I ordered was damaged lost or what ever. On the plus side they promised me a better laptop.

    No, no spam filter on my email and yes have rang every day to be told its caught up in a backlog and they will be in touch - it wasnt off ebay anyway but directly off the outlet itself.

    Anyway, sorted as of this afternoon as finally got through and cancelled it as got one elsewhere.
