I would imagine you would have to pay about 70 euros.I got stuff value at 175 and had to pay 56euro.It depends who ships it though as they all have their own handling fee as well as the duty.

Be careful. I shipped some Abercrombie stuff and the shipping was $40 that they add on after plus you'll get whacked with import VAT which could be about 30% of the value of the goods. so your 200 suddenly becomes 300.

Not worth it imo. Never again. I got burned.

strange - I thought there was no VAT and duty on clothes and books, covering goods bought here or imported here ? Guess I was wrong.

Well, with the cheap dollar, even with the VAT and customs charges, it's still a lot cheaper than similar clothes in Ireland.

    Thanks

    well

    2 x Jeans

    2 x Jumpers

    1 x Fleece

    2 x Polo Shirts

    1 x Shirt

    Come to 248$ + 60$ for shipping = 308$ = 205 euro

The above would cost 350 euro in Ireland.. and after getting stung by vat etc.. i will still save 70 euro and have nicer clothes!

We've done plenty of orders to Abercrombie, American Eagle and Hollister. Hollister and Abercrombie have always induced duties etc. American Eagle has never.

Here is an extensive list of all items regarding VAT from revenue.ie , Adult clothes are not exempt, childrens clothes ( some types ) are ,

    http://www.revenue.ie/index.htm?/revguide/vat.htm

All goods coming in to an EU member state from a non EU member state are subject to VAT regardless of supplier or carrier , check the list for exempt items or items rated at 0%,

Just because sometimes you dont get caught doesnt make the rules any different , importing items without paying VAT is tax fraud , and you will be charged at 21% if the item is caught and you may have to pay a fine as well.

Do it on any kind of regular basis and you may find yourself in court.
