New buzz irritation

I'm getting a weird buzz off my aerodyne bass. It seems to be something loose. If I turn the tone down it disappears, or if I press any of the knobs in or push the lead in it'll stop.
Any ideas? If I want to have a look around will I have to take off the scratch plate?
It's annoying since it's only a few months old.

Sounds like it could be a loose wire on the jack, open 'er up and have a look. If you don't know much about soldering you can get one of the guitar stores to sort it. :)

Hmm... I reckon it must be the jack, last night it got really bad and then just vanished. How odd.

I've had that before on one of my basses. It'd go bad when it wanted to, annoyed the hell out of it. I got it fixed pronto, would have done it myself but I was lazy and it was in for a setup anyways. :)

Just bought new strings... but I guess if it happens again it'll have to go somewhere for some fixing and sure why not properly set-up while they're at it.

    Anywhere/anyone good for such stuff?
