    Hey there,

Just thought I'd share this. I use a Mac with the 3 HSPDA Huawei E220 modem and it was driving me nuts that there was no proper software for it. Plug the modem into the pc and you can see signal strength and connection times, upload and downloads... Nothing like this for the Mac until now.

This little tool sits in your toolbar beside the connection settings. Has your standard 4 bar signal strength monitor (like on your mobile) and when you open it, it gives you your upload and download packets for the period you are online.

Not as comprehensive as the built in PC software UI but much better than just flying blind as I had been up until now.

    Catch ya later,

    T

P.S. If you found this by being a total noobie to getting the 3 modem working with a Mac, I'd say what you're looking for are the drivers for the modem, which you can get by looking up the modem on

These drivers just run the modem so they will work with o2 and vodafone too.

    T:)
