Alrite lads first post here. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the kings Inn and knows anyone who has had success as a barrister in Ireland with no contacts in the profession when starting out ?

My sisters friend is studying there at the moment, As far as I know, you have to be willing to get into thousands of euros debt and work your ass off free for a couple of years after your studies are finished in order to make it.

As Tom says, except for the "nice" part.

But seriously, aside from the 12 grand fee, and stuggling to maintain an income during the year, and the time you have to take off to do the entrance exams, and having to devil after that for at least a year for a master who may not pay you, and then when you finish devilling fight for briefs that pay damn all, and......have I left anything out?

But dont let that put you off, I'm enjoying it, and you can always get into in-house practice when you qualify and earn a tidy amount in there.

Try the guiness, it's great. It's so great, that the nearby barrister training college named itself after the pub.
