Do you take Heroin

I heard people talking about how much Irish people take it. I don't take it myself. Someone from DCU was on saying we're pretty much the same as anywhere else in Europe even though it seems as though we're doing it an awful lot.

Just wondering how many people here take Heroin.

Yeah, I'm the same I'd love to try it just to see what it's like, lucky for me I deal with my fair share of junkies and have had the pleasure of seeing first hand how much it'll f*ck you up so hot a chance in the world I'd touch it.

I smoked it once! I am one of those people who has to/wants to experience most enjoyable things in life at least once so I've ticked off a few on my to-do list over the last 10 years. A risk taker and pleasure maker.

It was fantastical and like the cocaine, all you wanted was more, so I can understand how, if in the wrong state of mind and taking it for the wrong reasons it can be highly and dangerously addictive.

I would never, ever go there again, as I said, wanted to experience it once, so I did.

Luckily I'm a rock of sense! :rolleyes:

The heroin addicts on the boardwalk are a living(if you can call them that) example of why you should never even consider doing/looking or even speaking about heroin. Human zombies / vampires carving that next fix of blood.. err i mean skag. Just a hollow shell really.

Theres example sof cocaine and hash/weed addicts but not to the same extreme so i guess there ok drugs.

Mostly I'd agree. Drugs are drugs, narcotics are narcotics.

Addiction is a large part of personality, and also of dependance as a product of society and mindframe.

For anyone who paints Heroin or any other other addictive substance as "The begining of the end once you take it," I'd have a look at this article.

i have done. i honestly think its a bit of a "scary word" as in its used when its wanted to. reaaly nasty drug but at the same time "the first time" doesnt get you onto it etc

Yea Heroine is a big No - its pretty much the line for most people. of course my line was Pot, and im still debating trying a magic mushroom at 20 years old. And in my more morbid episodes even trying a line of coke but geez :eek:
