I usually get the 8am train from Clonsilla into town and never get a seat. My question is, is there any point in getting up earlier, is there any train in the morning, even the first one at 6.35 a.m., where I would get a seat?

I have never got the 1st train.

Only got the one at 7 from Maynooth and come Confey you will be lucky to get a seat.

Any time after that its never a seat after Louisa bridge until around 8.45.

If you stand down the aisle it aint to bad.

Why people always stand at the door is beyond me.

Would Docklands be any use to you? There would be plenty of seats on the 07.45 from Clonsilla.

there's also the 820 and 845 that start in clonsilla and end in docklands, depending on where your final destination is you could get the 151 from docklands up burgh quay to dame street.

I either get the 7:07 or 8:05 train.

The early train 9 times out of 10 I get a seat but next stop very few poeople do.

8:05 train 1 out 10 times I get a seat. Defo not seats next stop.

I get the first train twice a week. Since Docklands went on I've never had a problem getting a seat. There are usually some free until Coolime or even Castleknock!

Kearnsr, which train are u talking about? I don't see any 7.07 train from Clonsilla on www.irishrail.ie

Thanks everyone but the Docklands is no good to me, I go as far as Lansdowne. The 8.13am is direct to Lansdowne and would be perfect if it wasn't always jammed and delayed, it usually won't get me into work till about ten past 9.
