    Howdy,

Just thought I'd start a separate thread on this getting together for a game business.
I know it's not the best time of the year but I think it's a good idea that we all go out and bang a few balls for the craic.
Maybe we could each bring a small prize so nobody goes home empty handed or something?
I'm sure I could arrange something with our pro shop (Forrest Little) for
cheap green fees around lunchtime on a Saturday or Sunday, or would anybody else be open to doing same in their club??
Let me know what you think re: location, dates, time when most people are available etc. and we'll see if we can get something off the ground.

Who knows, if it works we could end up with a society:eek:

    JCDUB,

Sounds like a great idea. I for one would be more than keen. Forrest Little would be a good venue (i'm yet to play it by the way!). Maybe we could all sound our respective clubs out over the next week or so and get a few possible dates. Saturday or Sunday would suit me perfect.

I never need to be asked twice to play.
Played Forest Little for the first time back in October. Fantastic track with a great variety of holes.

    Thanks Obni,

Good start to responses, hopefully we'll get a good few more over the weekend. I'm playing tomorrow anyhow so I'll check out what we can do for a group of around 15 or so at a time on Sat/Sun that we can get in 18 holes, and if other people do the same we have a couple of options.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Time of year isn't great as I'm a fair weather golfer.... mind you need some work on my new driver before March April kicks in next year so all rounds are welcome !!!

    hey lads,

What do you all play off? Just wondering as I have only recently started playing again after a 10 year break and might be a bit out of my depth.

I'd be on for a Sat or Sun Game. Playing of anything between 18 and 24 so don't worry Stooge . Theres at least 1 other high handicapper !

I'd say there would be a good mix of handicaps so we could probably mix it so that everyone plays with someone they feel comfortable with. I don't mind who i playwith, but i know some higher handicappers can feel a bit intimidated by playing with low handicappers. If we all put a few euro in there could even be a nice wee prize for the winners?

    I'm floating between 11 and 12 but just now I'm 12.4.

    hi there

just wondering did this take place, like carlyb, have a new born so I am out of the loop at the moment, but I would be interested in the new year when all starts to settle.

btw playing off 27, club cant generate a handicap just yet

    Hi Nanook,

Nothing yet, probably best to wait until the weather brightens up a bit and we all feel a bit more enthusiastic!

We'll see if this thread stays alive, and if not we can start a new one maybe in March/April and see how we're all fixed then.
