There's a lot of pros and cons to getting your own dress made.

    Pros:
It'll be unique and tailored to fit you.
You can alter the pattern to your tastes (if you find a great dressmaker)

    Cons:
It can work out very expensive
It mightnt be exactly what you wanted or how you wanted to look in it.
It's hard to find a really good dress maker.

My advice if you do get a dressmaker is to tell her/him exactly what you want and don't be afraid to tell them you dont like the way something is done. Afterall you'll be paying top notch for it!
