or

I need to find the name of the Garda Dolan the second defendant.I cant find it on first law.ie although its there somewhere .It is on the internet but that wont give me the full name of the garda. Anybody know the full name of the Garda Dolan.

I was hoping to find a connection between Garda Dolan and a witness. I have had a incident with a Garda and was wondering if they are the same person.Obviously this case was very embarrassing for the gardai and there might have been some resentment against the main witness. There might be an element of vindication or even vengence but mostly vindication, or a will to believe.I am trying to undertsand the mens reas of corruption.

I suppose years ago one would be very cautious. However matters have changed and while I believe there are many court judgements that have been miscarriages of justice i would have hoped that this one case which was in fact origionally a criminal charge against McIntyre that turned into a miscarriage of justice and then a criminal charge against the Gardai could now be mentioned. But alongs comes somebody to issue cautions and give warnings. I will view your warning to mean that there are still conviction's out there that were miscarriages of justice and if some one uses the defence of defamation to slander on of those misfortunates then a righteous wrath......

A conviction isnt proof of guilt in a civil case. the fact that soemone has a conviction can also fail as a defence particuarly in defamation. However these were gardai not some child or mentally handicapped person that they beat a confession out of. Lets not forget they were in the process of convicting McIntyre of their very own crime. If they succeeded they could very well be on Boards.ie slandering him this day.In most any case a truly innocent person if slandered could sue in court and win. I have two false convictions on the garda computer at present. Technically you think you could slander me and say i have two criminal convictions but i could prove that I dont very very easily. That would fail your defence as in substance it is false. So the meek truly do inherit. So if you defame me I will guarantee that I will win my case and the costs would be enormous and you can pay them. You may think your right but you cant prove the sting of the libel.

Respectively Please dont feel the need to address me when posting. You dont need to use pirelli to get a point across.I would appreciate it if you simply didnt at first meeting. I dont know you and we havent shared all that many posts. I am not being prejudicial i am being sensible and there are people who make friends and slag each other off and quibble to each other but I dont believe we know each other that well now do you?. I do not mean that it is offensive . I do apologise i meant that it would be unusual especially on boards. Anyway its just my opinion i feel there should be some posts shared. Perhaps I was making this point too abruptly although I would not like to be the protagonist to just about everyone who wishes. I shine just fine on my own.Is it just me or does a certain person keep posting and deleting as i now have a long list of posts.
