And he'll probably just get a 'suspended sentence' for this as well....

They'll go easy on him because he's blind

The little sh1t should be done for "incitement to hatred" (there's a whole act for that). And i hate this bollox of "he's a good kid, a good upbringing, never in trouble before" etc, pishes me off. It shouldn't matter what he was like, they should go on what happened!

“He was intoxicated…Clearly it was outrageous, but he was not in control of himself”
Of course he was in control of himself! He could beat two people to the ground! It's not like he has a mental history, the little sh!te.

Someone should start a new thread why do so many women look like gay men

No, No, No, No, we must rehabilitate this poor misfortunate person. He was drunk at the time, it wasn't his fault

Dirty homophobic skank........ He deserves everything he gets and more.

“He was intoxicated…Clearly it was outrageous, but he was not in control of himself”

Some solicitors just need to get assaulted more often or robbed. That statement is just laughable & pathetic, but then again so is the Criminal Justice System & not a mention of any homophobic offences committed.

I take it this is due to my argument on a different thread?

I think this is a sick crime and he should be put in prison but should we not even attepmt to "re-educate" or counsel this guy? At the end of the day, he is a drunken teenager. It is his fault that he committed the crime but he probably grew up around people with homophobic/violent ideas. No excuse though.

Hate crimes are horrible and should be punished but someone with so much hate needs counselling also imo.

What a plonker. I don't know how he could just have an episode like that just because he spent some time in the company of another "friend". I'm going to go out on a limb and assume he's battling with he's own sexuality.

What an extra kick in the face for the Woman to be told she looks like a Man. She should have smothered the little fucker with her tits.

How many times can you contradict yourself in one sentence!.

I don't buy into this 'he grew up in a violent household' or other bollox'ology.

LadyJ, I'm not just getting on your back for a heck of it. And I appricate you probably have a very kind heart, I like to think I'm one of the softest too.

But I grew up in a horribly violent household. My father regularly beat the sh*t out of us all, including my mother in front of us.

He never worked, and we didn't have a pot to piss in. But I 'nor my two brothers have ever done wrong on a soul. Through hard work we've all been pretty successful in our career's, and not one of us would life a finger to any of our children, or anybody for that matter.

So I don't buy into this crap, indeed I find it offensive that people use these excuses to shed responsibility for they're actions.

Waiting for the idiots to defend the " poor guy from a socially deprived background who needs a cuddle rather than punishment" The type of idiots who tend to totally ignore the victims.

Edit, excellent post 16 from Mairt.

Should be forced to wear a Glasgow Rangers jersey & tracksuit for two weeks as punishment. Would be infinitely better than a spell behind bars where he'd more likely learn new tricks when he'd get out.

there's no point blaming anyone else we all know this was caused as a direct result of the parents poor parenting skills. the poor skanger kid just needs a tap on the wrist....and a double tap to the head.

That would be a fantastic punishment. Although after a while the skangers would treat it as a badge of honour, and non-criminal scum would wear it to impress their mates. Wha? yea I sho a fellih, so Ive ta wear me rangers gear for a munt. me ma's going mad so she is.

So this was his first offense and the garda didn't know of him before than.
I will guarantee this is not the first beating this little cúnt has done, its just that he was never caught before.
the garda not knowing him, just proves there inept.

i've seen many alter boys who are lovely souls, but the first night they get drunk, they beat the shít out of, what they think, were two men singlehanded:rolleyes:.

I am sorry that you had such a childhood but you are one of the lucky ones who grew up to be a decent person and did not "learn what the lived" as it were.

I know we we never agree on this so there is no point in arguing. I just have a different view. I believe that people should take responsibility for their actions and be punished for them, however, I don't feel that it is right to give up on such people.

I don't see why we can't imprison them, while helping them also. Just makes sense to me that we would at least try. Otherwise we are just sending them back onto the streets after a few years inside, exactly the same as they were. Seems to make sense that we would at least give rehab a shot! Anyway...
