Have to do some coding for college assignments, I'm not a huge fan of xcode. Is there any other decent alternatives out there? Or is it just a case of me having to grit my teeth and deal with it?

I think its the latter :)

Just a thought, but have you configured xCode for your personal requirements? I wasn't a big fan of it until I discovered the power of customisation :)

eclipse is such a breeze, it's so much better on a unix based platform than on windows i have to use both, whilst on the move i use eclipse on the macbook where as in college i have to use it in windows.

i think most of the hatred for the windows version is more how so it's set up in college (the last workspace from the user before you is created on my college drive :()

Xcode is good too, it all depends what type of coding you're doing.
