The experience is always better when the cost is higher - I got my laptop off eBay and it was perfect.

That tower (looks f**king deadly) and checks out too, seller is 99.8% positive after 1800 sales :)

I bought a laptop off ebay a few years ago and never had any problems.

That looks like one serious piece of kit you are interested in. I can only dream of owning a machine with such a spec :(

yup, bought before and never had problems...buy pretty much everything off ebay at this stage. waiting for them to start selling apartments :)

btw, looks like a deadly machine, and buyers rep holds up, i'd go for it if i were you!

I've not bought a PC from ebay but I've bought two digi camera's (worth about 900e each), lens, flashes and hundreds-thousands of euro's more worth of equipment, :)

Very Nice case, have it myself at home, the only caveat would be the weight of it. Shipping to IReland for that would be verrry expensive I would imagine.
Also I would expect that a box that size would draw some customs attention along with the fact that he would probably declare a true estimation of its value on the declaration form, and if he did that you would have a large vat bill to pay.
Just somethings to bare in mind.
I have bought a bardbones system from the states (case, psu, mobo, processor, ram) and he shipped it by land (took 5 weeks!) and declared a value of $150 so I got awaywith customs duty.
Just some things to be aware of.

That seller is located in the UK. Are we subject to customs duties/vat from there? I thought not as it's part of the EU. Where can we get information on that? If not this, I'll certainly be importing parts from the UK in the future.

You are indeed correct, this totally slipped my mind when making that original post!
All EU goods trade inside the EU are vat exempt as far as I know.
Well then that changes things! Happy Shopping!

I haven't bought a pc from ebay (I plan on buying some parts to upgrade a couple of my pcs though) but I have bought a lot of other things. Every transaction went great and I've saved quite a bit of money too.
