I ordered some prints on photobox, I was just wondering how long they took to deliver, because i have been waiting a couple of weeks now...

    Cheers

normally takes between 3-5 days from what I remember,

Usually get the photos dispatched email the same day I order

last couple of orders I've made have been dispatched within 2 days (orders for large prints mind you) and delivered within 2 weeks. I ordered 5 x 18x12's and 60 6x4's recently and they took just under 2 weeks to be delivered.

Maybe I'll start ordering my prints from the US, I'm getting deliveries from anywhere in the US in about 5 days. Probably no fault of photobox; Royal Mail is shocking.

I'll keep looking and I'll let you know if I find any good

yeah but I normally only do orders of no less than 60/70 prints anyway so if the international price + shipping came anywhere close to the photobox price I wouldnt think twice about it.

I wonder when any enterprising national outfit will offer a decent Irish online printing service?!?

Got sixty 9 x 6" prints there last Friday. I uploaded them on Sat, they shipped Mon and they got here Fri morning. So I guess 5 days altogether.

I've gotten photobox prints twice now. One order took about 5 days and the second order, my most recent of 440 6 x 4s from my holidays(doubles for my friend) took nearly two weeks. Also noticed the p&p has gone up €1 per order!

About a week on my last order.

Yeah, wasn't too impressed when I saw that. They dropped the price of the prints and raised the p&p. They've obviously been reading the same business management book as ryanair boffins.

Waiting a month so far on the current order :(

Over 60 photos, lot's of big ones, they made a mess of the order at first and couldn't print it. Sent it over 3 weeks ago now, still no sign.

I e-mailed and phoned, they have reprinted and sent them again now, but still no sign.

Also somewhat surprised at the quality of the Photobox prints having read only good things on the Photography forum regarding quality. They looked a bit murky and washed out. Four of the shots printed for comparison purposes on my Canon Pixma were to my eye far superior!

I've got my pictures today, a week and a day after, not too bad
    got some panoramics, I'm chuffed

I have just now taken delivery of this years batch of calendars (I get some done up every year for family and friends) and as a trial I had one of these done, I have to say its even better than I had hoped, the only problem I can see is that all the other folks will want one too.:o

I ordered a few photo prints before from them all arrived on time, ordered a calendar from them last Christmas and that arrived within a week and most recently ordered 200 cards and envelopes that arrived within 7 working days (1.5 weeks).

The quality has always been impressive but then again I only use a bog-standard digital camera, 5 megapixels. :)

I ordered a calendar on the 27th Nov, it shipped on the 29th, and arrived today.
I just hope the recipient is as pleased with it as I am.

A set has turned up now, but it's the replacement set.

I guess one set really did get lost. :(

Ah well, the quality is great in them I have to admit.

The poster calendars look very nice, and I was about to buy 3 using the 3 for 2 offer they had a few weeks back, but the tossers wanted to charge me €36.50 to ship them (cost of shipping 2 was €4.50). They claimed calendars were "very heavy items and had to be couriered". I asked them about splitting the order and got no reply, so I didn't buy.

To make matters even more interesting, I went back last week to order a few prints. The calendars were still in my basket, though the offers had expired at this stage, but in the intervening week they'd been on a diet, and shipping was now a more realistic €4.50 for the three. I'm still waiting on a reply querying the reason for this.

This isn't the first time I've fallen foul of Photobox's "offers". I had to get a very large batch of 6x4s done during the summer when they were doing a 6c per print "offer". Yes, I got the prints for 6c, but shipping was again €36.50. Of course you only find this out at the checkout, so you've got through the process of uploading everything, or in the case of the calendar assembling it. I usually don't want/need next day delivery. They need to get their act together and start offering something more reasonable.

I'll be the first to admit to being a bit cynical, but this stinks of "scam" to me

Certainly looks like it, my order was 10x A4 (€18.5 each) calendars and one of the A3s (€26.50), shipping for the lot was €10.21, and they arrived in two separate packages, it would seem hard to justify the postage you were quoted.

Having looked again at the various calendars it will be hard for me to justify buying the A4's again next year (if the price differential stays the same).

just got some 50 euro worth of 10"x15" pictures from photobox
they look no way similar to the 6"x4" I printed 2 weeks ago to proof the print
either they use different machines or something wrong in the way they print
    6"x4" look bright and colourful
10"x15" (same jpg file) look dark, dull and unsaturated

Any ideas on what could have gone wrong?

I'll probably work out a profile to get the aldi pictures right (they look completely different to on screen or any other print out, but the paper is OK and they are VERY cheap)

See my earlier comments regarding some 6x4s I had printed by them. Have sent off another batch and will see what they look like when they arrive.

    right
    I'm not generalizing, photobox's 6"x4" are fine, but 10"x15" are cr@p
