Anyone know of a nice hotel doing a New Year's Dinner/Ball and accommodation for a reasonable price?

Depends on what you feel is reasonable. The Crowne Plaza out in Santry does one that we went to last year, it was great craic. Brochure: http://www.cpdublin.crowneplaza.com/_fileupload/File/Xams%20Brochure%2028.06.07.pdf

The two hotels - Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn are pretty much brand spanking new and were very nice to stay in.

The Radisson SAS in Galway is doing a Masquerade Ball. Went two years ago and had a blast, we're going again this year.

The ball tickets are €125, no idea what accomodation would be for the night but I'm sure it'd be on the site. Give em a call before booking though, there might be a discounted hotel rate for ball attendees.
