    Hey guys,

I was looking around thomann and found this:

    http://www.thomann.de/ie/harley_benton_hbsset_9.htm

Is this a good beginners set? I was thinking about getting a Yamaha Pacifica and then an amp (undecided). Would this set be a better option? Im just starting out on electric.

    Thanks!

I'd go for the pacifica and a good sounding practice amp like a microcube or similar. I have 3 pacificas and microcube. These guitars are just fantastic and incredibly cheap for what you get. The pickups are actually decent enough. And you shouldn't have any problems selling if you ever decide to upgrade. Can't see you offloading the Harley Benton gear to easily though:).

i wouldn't want to sell my first guitar though.. but i'm a bit sentimental about things like that.. i think you should keep yer first guitar to remind ya where ya started.

Yamaha Pacifica and a small digital amp sounds like a really good plan, tbh.
