    WTF ?
not on the box at all ???? !!!!
cant believe Sky didnt even hazard a low bid to televise it !!!!
I mean , wayne is a sky boxing analyst/columnist ,....... so now the promoters get no tv money , the boxers lose revenue and exposure, and the fans watch a half hour highlight a day later? !!!

At the end of the day , nobody is a winner.
especially in a time where they are trying to raise european boxing levels , what a pony effort all round.

they used to refuse tv coverage in league of ireland football because people werent going to attend the matches,........but surely in boxing the tv money is worth more than filling the hall ?

remember the good ol' days when all fights were free to watch , or even getting up @ 3 in the morning and tuning in the radio.
they were the days when boxing was a competition to be the top of your game , now its all about how much money the can wrangle from the public, and how to share it out.

    capitalist baskets .

here , sky have opted to show 2 buffoons on friday, really made the effort didnt they ? must be breaking the bank to see Christy Edwards and Jaime Mcdonald.......... fack off. they've sestroyed boxing , and are doing their best to ruin football too, hopefully Rupord Murdock gets sick of money some day , and decides to give back what he's taken from the people.

couldnt believe when i got back to this country and sat down to watch an ireland game only to find the fia had sold out to that basket.
sorry just going on a rant here ...dont mind me.

Actually Edwards v McDonnel is Friday week and that is only the 3rd biggest fight on that bill with Jamie Moore v Zaurbek Baysangurov(European Light-Middleweight title) and Ali Nuumbembe v Craig Watson .

This Friday we get another decent bill with Ian Napa v Martin Power in a rematch of what was a very good close contest the first time .

THe undercard has World Class African prospect/contender and Commonwealth Champion Tshifiwa Munyai v past it former WBO flyweight champion Jose Lopez Bueno .

The undercard also has other good prospects in Tony Salem , Gary Woolcombe and Akaash Bhatia .

Decent Irish Super Featherweight Kevin O'Hara also takes on Henry Castle on the bill .

Can't blame Sky on this one they are showing boxing on Friday so won't be looking to show anything the next day .

Setanta are really the ones to blame , they originally were meant to be showing this but pulled out . It also doesn't make sense that RTE couldn't have stepped in as they could of done it on the cheap and gotten good viewing figures .

Guys I'm ringing RTE to complain that they are not showing it, as they got loads of coverage out of Wayne over the years especially with Bracelona.

    Everybody ring RTé (Main Studios)
