This course IS run here in Ireland. It's run by the Motorcycling Ireland (MCI) Medical Team which is staffed by Doctors and Paramedics who are all bikers who work in the frontline emergency services and cover motorcycle road racing.

I've always wondered why we never had motorcycle paramedics. They say that every second counts, but clearly an ambulance is going to be slower than a bike, particularly when the traffic is heavy.
If a biker could get there quicker and prepare the victims before the ambulance gets there, surely that would help?

Is there such a thing in other countries?

Contact Motorcycling Ireland through their website and also check on some of the popular biker forums in Ireland.
The course are often run by MCI but other times they are run through clubs or dealerships. The Martin Finnegan supporters ran one as did Joe Duffy Motorad.
The instructors are all members of the MCI Medical Team who cover all the road races (motorcycling). They are all full time Paramedics and Doctors.

In reply to Motorcycle paramedics. These have been in operation in Dublin for almost seven years now. They use honda Deauvilles and BMW 850 cc machines that are purpose built for use in the emergency services.
