Hi all, the Gf's car was stolen on saturday night. It was crashed around the corner (havent seen damage yet) To be honest it was a piece of **** before hand worth at most €1000. The cops sent it with ITS. She called today and was told to get it released its €250, she doesnt want to pay this, can the ITS sell it for scrap or anything and give her whats left after they take their fee??

I dont think they will pay you anything. If you say its worth 1000 then scrap value will be tiny only in 100's so they will recoup their costs.

ITS may not want the bother of selling it for you. And they are probably charging €40 per day storage!

Has your gf a 'no claims protection' on the insurance policy? If she does then pay the towing charge, repair the car and claim from the insurance.
