    can anybody tell me if i can unplug the dvd player that comes with this and connect a Hd-dvd player or a blue ray player? The problem is the player doesnt play blueray or hd-dvd discs. Any advice is appreciated

    One is sound.... one is a media format player.

    Unless the sound format from your new player is incompatable... go for it.

    Optical is good.. me not to uptodate with HDMI etc.

    Theres a precedent. Fairly sure Easyjet managed to stop any companies using the 'Easy' prefix, even though some companies had used it for 5+ years before Easyjet was founded.
