Publicity/communications jobs

    Hi,

    I was wondering if anyone knows of a website where jobs with the press departments of various organisations might be advertised. I'm interested in working in publicity but not with a PR agency as it's not so much the "spin" side of things I'm interested in, rather the general communications side.
    I've looked at the Public Relations Institute website which has a careers section, but the vast majority of positions are with PR agencies.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you studied communications in college, you could try contacting the communications department for advice on this sort of thing?

    I have a mate that works for a big/well established PR agency,(he's kind of a big deal) i could put in a good word for you if you want me to.
    Now am not guaranteeing anything.

    Well it's not PR agency work I'm going for - more press department work. But thanks a mil anyway.
