I've been thinking about that site in Camac Valley. Jump on the bus and nip into Dublin and do the museums etc. http://www.camacvalley.com/home/
Also suggest somewhere along the Shannon, park up and go for a few pints.
Somewhere like Banagher has a few nice pubs, some water to look at and a pitch & put course near by.

Not sure if River Vally is open......the wife was up there end Oct and they indicated that they were shutting down for the 1st week of Nov. I am open to correction on this though as maybe they just didnt like the look fo her:p

Aherlow Co Tipp. George Drew. Open all year. Top site. None better in this country anyway. Couple of pubs nearby and great walks.

If ya want to browse around a few campers and talk to like minded enthusiasts , whilst being supplied with free tea/coffee and light refreshments , theres always Pat Horan's annual open days after Christmas..... http://www.facebook.com/#/event.php?eid=178558728178&index=1
