Basically my so-called-friend decided to set my desktop background as a not very nice photo he got on the internet. How can I delete this completely from the options for my background? I can't seem to find it saved anywhere on the computer, so I have no idea how to get rid of it.

    Help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Select any other picture you want as your background , right click on it and "Set as Deaktop Background" .
Once this is done it will replace the nasty pic that was being used.
I imagine the offending picture is probably stored in your temp files so google "crap cleaner", download , install and run the program to delete all your temp internet files.

Thanks, I really can't keep it on the laptop because I use it for presentations when teaching and I can't risk exposing the young ones to things like that. Thanks again, in the process of downloading.

Right, well that didn't work. Thanks anyway. Anymore ideas?

If its in the list, it has a name... windows has a nice function called search.
Use it, you might be surprised :D
When it finds it, delete it.

Well it took a few tries, and that dog was reading his book backwards like mad, but it eventually found it when I searched in hidden files. Thanks for that. (Even though your post made me feel a little bit stupid! But I suppose I didn't think of doing something so simple! :D)

What might have worked (i know you have problem solved but still) is to just right click on a picture on the internet and click set as background, if the "friend" did the same when he set bg, then it was the internet explorer wallpaper, which would then be overwritten by this new one...
