    Howdy kids!

    So here's my curiosity.
I have some money I'd like to put aside specifically for a bankroll. I had the idea of perhaps $300 - $500 to start me off and get me going.
However, I tend to have consistent, reasonable success in tournaments both live and online, however I have very little experience when it comes to cash games. i have no interest playing cash games live, but online I'd definitly like to give it a go and see how I do.

So advice or comments on a bankroll/cash game newbie please?!

    Appreciate any responses!

    Dave

Start with $20nl on ipoker and play until you spin it up until over $1000 then think about taking shots at $50nl

Small bankroll work on building it, big bankroll protect it. A lot depends on how much it would hurt you to lose your $500. I'm guessing it would hurt you but not in a really bad way if you did, Zuutroy's suggestion I think is about right. You have plenty for playing in the softer .10/.20 games, waiting until you get to $1k or so for the .25/.5 sounds about right.

Your bankroll strategy depends on your own tastes. Your comfort level... or the amount of risk you mind taking, rather or not you could re-deposit, etc. Your win rate, and the quality of play of the players around you.
I think that its ok to take shots with 15 BI's if you are not too worried about having to re-load at some stage and are willing to play a bit looser in a bid to build a roll faster. However you'd be better to stay at 25nl until u have 20 BI's or more for 50nl. Full tilt have a good 100% new player bonus along with soft micro limits. Also check out cake poker. It's a new site which is supposed to be very soft at low limits also. They also have a 33% RB.

Stick ur $300 into a 10/20 plo game, spin it up to a few k within minutes, then go back to the lower levels for which youll now have a proper bankrollw.
