keep checking buyandsell for second hand weights sets. You can get a chinning bar for ~15 euro which wont break the bank. Or find somewhere you can do them like the landing, or nearby structures.

Investing in some free weights isnt a big investment........

You should probably have stated your goals though, hard to advise on how to make progress when we dont know where you want to progress to, but simplefit is a good place to start.

An alternative is spend a few quid, pretty good prices here:

Theres a user around here, Mickk who owns a shop along them lines too, and if all else fails Argos do pretty good prices on weights.

THat is mickks shop. I got plates and am very happy with them fast delivery too, and very reasonable.

    This set is good. http://www.irish-lifting.com/product_info_equipment.php?cPath=1_15&products_id=260
has 5kg more than the argos one and is the same price. It also has bigger plates, i.e. 2x10kg ones, while the argos has smaller. This means you can fit more on the dumbells, and on the straight bar the wider diameter 10kg plates mean it is higher so more suitable for deadlifts.
