    Folks,

Whats your first port of call for a weights related injury.

I've badly hurt the top of my arm/shoulder and I'm almost certain I need medical attention. Been sore for almost a week, not DOMS/normal pain.

I'm not seen a doc for over 18 years!! So I'm fairly ignorant of what to do, go to the wifes GP, a physio, A&E??

    Any guidence much appreciated.

    Seek medical attention!

Go to a GP first - they can refer you to a physio or to hospital for xray etc if needed

Sadly typical male attitude, no doctor in 18 years, tsk

I've never been sick or had anything wrong with me. Apart from in-grown toenails in my teens, I no memory of seeing a doctor ever! I think thats quite a good thing as it goes. Far too many people in this country go to the doctors with the slightest cough or sniffle.

I'm hoping someone will say, go to xxx they sort weights injuries all the time.

Going to try some physios tomorrow.

TBH though its worth getting a check up every once in a while just to get the all clear, prevention and all the rest

Personally though i'd go straight to the physio, its their area of expertise and my experience of doctors and injuries isnt the best tbh. Plus it saves the 50 odd quid

Yes, you can always simply ring or email your local GP and ask for a recommended physio. If you have not been in ages then get a friend who has a decent doctor to ask for a recommended physio.

Some other poster will probably list one here anyway.

How did you injure it anyway?
