Airsoft in Southeast.

Ok Lads,

Quick one. Is there any airsoft group between Cork and Wexford. Looking for team to play with. The concern is not the field. I have perfect plac to play (all legal issues are sorted). Problem is: I dun know anybody around me who is playing.

Site is not very big but is enough to play. I try to post some photos on Sun/Mon, need to speak to the owner what 'll be the rules of accessing the site. (I did ask him about access but not about other stuff - bcs there was no need for doing this until now) but I think should be no problem.

I would love to come and check this out, i only have a maru l96 at the moment for plinking at home, would love to seesomething to start happening down here to get involved in.

Edit, im in Thurles area, but i drive to waterford couple of days a week and all weekend. Would love to jjust come watch and more than anything to get involved in the sport.

It's 9km from waterford. I'm currently looking for bigger place too. It's ok for 5v5 maby 6v6. We play there paintball 4v4. I need to meassure site with GPS and I'll decide.

Is anybody from Portlaw who have access to some nice urban or ruined warehouse setup area?? Guys from our paintball team will probably like to change scenery as well. In exchange for giving access to field. I just spoken with them briefly. 'll have longer chat on Sun and see what happen.

Thats for now. I'm still looking, but this terribly difficult in Ireland.

few other in Clonmel might be interested, Hi Greyfox!! think theres another lad who lurks around on boards who is also from town, can't remember his name:( Didn't know there was a paintball site on mooncoin this is news to me!! but we could be interested if it gets going. Older crew, some of us slightly geriatric!!:p

It's private field - club members only. But as long as I'm club member, think can work something. But like I said place is quite small. More details on Sun/Mon. Btw I heard that there is Civil Defence Playground somewhere aroud Wat. Worth investigating.

Unfortunately can't give U anwser right now (this has to be disscused with the owner). I'm going to talk to him on Sun when we'll be plaing paintball overthere. I promise nothing, but I'll try to convince him to do some big and small jobs on field in exchange for access, but that's only my point of view dun know what he 'll say.

Hi Andros,I would be interested.I'm from Clonmel and have two others who would go.Being trying to look for a place locally ourselves but with no luck so far,we were gonna start our own Team(even designed the team badges).
P.S it might be a small area but that only means more targets grouped together:D Fire and Forget.

There is private paintball arena currently. We're playing there every Sun. So when I'll be there this Sun, 'll speak to the owner and ask him how does he see the whole idea of ASG guys accessing our paintball arena.

Summary:

1. There is place where we can use ASG.
2. Place is known and legaly recognized by Gardi.
3. Owner is involved in paintball club.

So in some words its still in works as ASG arena, but thats only matter of one chat with the owner.

Ok, I understand there is Fuzzytrooper willing to join too (maby with one more with him), about 5 from tramore, plus _sheep and Judge_Dread. thats make about 16-20. So in more less I've some idea about numbers. I'm going to play paintball in about 1,5h and,'ll talk to owner and decide. We're aiming for about 5v5 maby 6v6. I case of probably 10v10 or more, we need to figure out some way of doing this (maby will go turns - i don't expect to have ppl form all around cuntry in one day in one place). I'm going to do some photos and movies. So u'll be able to become familiar with the place. And most important thing - today should know what will be the cost for accessing premise.

here are 3 pics. view from varius angles on the middle. The whole middle is surrounded by moat. U can see hill in the background which is surrounded by moat as well. each sied of the moat have to banks (hill have hill sides). Size of the field is 300m/200m.

Really anxious here because in wateford a trip up to HRTA would cost at least 50 quid so this site would mean alot. Me and frosty would be regular users anyway.
Any chance on your opinion of what the site owner will say to your proposal?:D

Like I said, but really apriciate. I'm quite anxious to bcs never have the chance to play ASG with bigger group over here.

After discussion inside club we decide to move into bigger place. So currently we have no place to play even paintball. But after meeting we had last week, we decide that place is bit to small to run anything serious over there. I personaly put big preassure on other club member to upgrade to bigger place (for the cost of weekly paintball games) for sake of better possibilities.

ahhh ok well at least theres development there anyway it wont be anytime soon by the sound of things but im happy with the fact that thersa possiblity of airsoft in waterford:D

We're working hard on getting new place, but still need to take care of other stuff like day time work and family:). Btw anybody willing to go for small skirmish on Sat or Sun?? (but we need some place:)

If it's the afternoon on either days then definitely. Need to get some dpms on sat morning and gotChurch work on sun (We never have enough volunteers to do tech stuff, sound engineering etc).

I'm going to ask a guy on sunday to check into a place out near the Comeraghs but it might be a while before I hear anything about that
