Hi guys - what is a recommended product for doing a winter wash on an eating apple tree which is affected by apple scab?
I know it used to be tar oil but that's banned now.

Is the best time to do the wash around new-years?

Many gardeners are now using a Jeyes fluid solution as a winter wash.

Should be ok as long as the conditions are not freezing .
Ensure you carry out you winter wash before bud burst at the latest....... but with our recent mild winters, bud burst could be tomorrow!
