I've been asked by a friend to recommend a laptop. The budget, as the thread title suggests, is €700 max. It will be used as a home machine (Browsing over wireless network, photos, documents, etc.). I ain't all that well up on hardware these days so I'm turning to you guys for some advice. Been looking on Dell but amn't…

If you can go a little higher, laptopsdirect have this acer for €767 + €20 delivered

I had to get a laptop for college. I checked around and heard Toshiba were the best so i went to the main dealers. BMS in Walkinstown and got a good deal, but PC world etc...can have Toshibas on special offer as well.
