    Hi,

I've had the above camera for the past 2 years now. I can't say that the battery has many cycles in that period. I was last using it in september when the battery was acting a bit strange, not holding charge for very long etc..

I went to charge today and it was in for long enough but when I try to power on it does nothing. It will power on perfectly when sitting in the cradle which leads me to believe it is the battery?

Is it the battery and if so where can I get another at good value?

Maybe it's not the battery, in that case what is it??

    Thanks,

    Techguy..

Most likely the battery is gone. Even when you weren't using the battery did you have it sitting in the camera? Not a good idea... the camera may get damaged by corroding elements.

I suggest googling the model number of the battery and see which places sell them. Likely to be somewhat expensive (proprietary batteries always are!)
