Buy body only or body and lens kit

I'm buying a Canon 400d and wondering whether to get the lens that comes with it? I've ordered the EF 28 135 IS USM lens from Argos and hoping to get it at the advertised price of €289 (£299 in the north). I've priced the 400d and can get it in the north for £364 (€507) body only £411 incl lens. Most of my photos will be of family, landscapes and indoor sports - I know I'll need a better lens for this but that's in the future. What do you all think I should get?

i just got the kit last week, it worked out chaper to get the kit than the body, picked up my 28-135 from argos on monday.... great setup

but the kit lens is wider than the 28 bit not by much..

going to get the 10-20 sigma to get the wide angle

so get the body only.... if the argos lens is enough

If you have the cash, I'd say body + 17-85mm. It's the best walkaround/general purpose lens.
