Hi, I am looking to get eyelash extenions done but the ones that are permanent last a few weeks. I know the show off the Rails on RTE did something on it a few weeks ago and they showed an eyelash bar in Powerscourt but does anyone know of anywere in city centre or even in the Midlands?

There's a place on The Avenue, Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge that does them as far as I know. Your one, Niamh Horan (journalist, always had her pic in the Kildare Times or one of those there for months), did a review on them in one of the free local papers earlier this year. I remember it because I saw her on Luas one day soon after she'd had them done and noticed they were very long.

Powerscourt Town Centre is very city centre. I had them done there about a month ago and I loved them.... Shop was a bit unorganised and the girl a bit rude but the effect of the lashes was fabulous.... I adored them. Am definitely getting them done for Xmas....

Thanks for that SarahSassy, my geography of City centre dublin is not great, a country girl and I had it in my head that powerscourt was in Wicklow.
Did you have to book weeks in advance and is it called the eyelash bar? I love the effect of them, make a big difference to the look of the eyes. i did try to do the DIY kit myself but was unsuccessful at it.

Hey wrote on a previous thread but I really wouldnt reccomend the eyelash bar in powerscourt. I got individual lashes put on there bout a month ago and they were awful, made my eyelashes look really stumpy!Had to take them off as soon as I get home.
Also eyelash extensions last for a max of 8 days I say. They fall out pretty easily and your eyelashes renew themselves every two weeks so its a myth that they last for a few weeks. Overpriced and really not worth the money..
The best place to get eyelashes done was pout, but alas it is no more!

Park Beauty on park gate street, I got them done there a week ago, they were €100 and refils are €50, girl says to get refils every two weeks, but my friend has hers a month now and they dont need refilling yet, guess it depends on how you treat them.

Anyway, it's not the most fancy place in the world, but the girl is very professional and friendly, I'd def reccomend them.

The "eyelash bar" in powerscourt is actually the first store from a new irish make up company called "One". My friend works there and for my 21st she did my eyelashes for me at home before and they were absolutely amazing and were perfect for days after. They have an incredible selection and you're sure to find something you want. PM me if you want my friends name. I doubt you need to book way in advance but with it coming up to Christmas you should be more prepared! I know on Halloween weekend they were booked solid.

I called them today and they have appointments for tomorrow. Have to say though the girls are pretty rude in there (sorry dirtydress). Seems like they have no job satisfaction.....

Its only €25 and mine lasted about 10 days.... Am getting them done again soon.

Thanks Sarah Sassy, still might give them a try, as that price seems reasonable, when lasted for 10 days. do you mind me asking what type did you get? I saw ,on off the rails they had ones with a bit of colour in them, looked mad thinking of getting them for xmas but the individul ones, look nice aswell.
