B&H request that you send them a copy of both sides of your credit card, has this been everyones experience?
Could this leave you open to identify theft?

I made my first order with them today and uploaded a copy of the credit card as requested. It's already been shipped so they work fast.

I wasn't worried about identity theft.

Standard practice for B&H, I've had to do it more than once as my credit card had expired.

I emailed a password protected pdf with scans, phoned them with the password.

That's a good idea, will they actually do that? Your idea or theirs?

I came up with it because there's no way I want my credit card details floating around for all to see - only gave the password to their accounts guy. Oh and don't name the pdf "my credit card" as all password protection can be hacked.
