    Hi guys,
My next buy will have to be a vest (I can source the bdu in Limerick and the helmet from airsofteire, then the loadout will be complete :)) but I'm not sure what to get.

At the moment I like this.
Anyone know if this CIRAS vest is any good, quality wise?
Or if anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to suggest.
And how are uncompany on their shipping times?

    Thanks in advance

<edit> found on the site 3-5 days shipping by express ems

I'm getting one of the DTV Tactical vests in flecktarn

    Go to bekleidung

    and Westen

http://www.waffenostheimer.de. (edit url modified as it was caching login)

Should have it in a few days so I can give you some feedback on what its like.

I already have a south african assault vest clone (SAAV) and i wouldnt reccomend it. Mag pouches quite small (M4/M16 only) and the pouches on the side are almost unusable with the standard fastenings. Still there are SAAV vests form other manufacturers and I may have been unlucky to buy a turkey.

I'm kinda looking into a vest that takes M series mags (6 midcaps from shiva)
    The holster would be handy.
What was the postage from that German site to Ireland?

Shipping was 14.90EUR for up to 2.6 kg. I bought a spring and dropleg holster as well.

    Similar vest on ebaybanned

Was also tempted by the WASATCH vest

I use a standard Viper British Forest DPM one. Would hold the mags I think. Cost £35 but viper are known to be good. One sec...pic...

Dunno if you want DPM but its very comfy:D

I've been looking at vests too, I've absolutely nothing for carrying around bits and bobs but I'm afraid most of them will be no good at carrying thompson mags.

Any old ****e will do me I'm not too bothered I was looking at something like this would that take Thompson mags?

Same as, I think I'd have to make a trip to Dublin to see these vests in the flesh so in the mean time I think I'll buy a thigh holster and long mags pouch, it'd be enough to carry everything I own bar the Mac11.

    Thanks Lethal and Hoplite
I think I'll go for the one hoplite recommended, the easy access holster would be fairly handy for my p229 (which incidentally doesn't fir into my Fobus holster for my P226)

    Now to the ordering stage...

Ahhhhrrrghhh, my German is terrible (Ich habe Deutsch zum mein Abitur gelernt. Ich finde es schwierig ;))

Does the site take Paypal, Hoplite, or do I have to pay by cc?

Ihr Deutsch is gar nicht so schlecht Herr Scanlant.

I'm pretty sure I payed by paypal.

Just a quick FYI a higher quality (and of course cost) version is available here

    http://www.irishcombataccessories.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39&products_id=229&osCsid=d759c8ea1aad7403aa594874c5a0b74f

Never bought from them before but they sell to guys from our defense forces to supplement their gear.

Also Tony has some vests in just last night http://www.eirsoft.ie

MIA and Airsoft Eire also have vests. Only reason I'm buying from the german site is I want Flecktarn. Flecktarn Fetish :o

    Vielen dank! :p

I prefer the look of the black vest on that German site (and 65 euro isn't a bad price. I've saved about 100 euro on the boots :D). Which option is the paypal option ?

This is directly copied from the website

    Zahlungsweisen Zahlungsweise

    Kreditkarte (MasterCard, Visa)
    Kreditkarteninhaber:
    Kreditkarten-Nr.:
    Gültig bis:
    CVV2 :

    Nachnahme: Versand zzgl. 5,50 Euro

    Vorkasse

Those vests Shiva have in are a bit meh, but the Webtex assault vest is niiice (may also buy that!)

Opps sorry Scanlant :( I just ran through a quick dummy order and I must have payed by credit card. Thats what happens when you order stuff at 2am you forget why what and how you ordered.

Hehehe, watch what you order ;)

I'll order it anyway. They seem like a reasonable site, plus I watch my cc balance like a hawk :)

    Viel gluck! ;)

Yep I think they are decent enough I read through some of the comments from previous customers and overall very favourable.
My stuff should be on the way with the Bundes Post.

I'm actually going to go for the icoa cross draw vest instead of the German one (plus the site is down)

    Thanks hoplite,

Lethal, I don't want to go down the whole DPM road so I'll stick with black and woodland camo.
    But the advice is appreciated.

I'm at the last stage of the icoa website getting the crossdraw vest.
The colour options are OD and black (i want black)
There are no drop-down options to choose.
Do I leave a note in the order?

I sent them an email yesterday but they haven't replied.

<edit> do the pockets in the crossdraw vest hold 2 M4 mags each? That'd be kinda important aswell ;)
