On Monday I started a new programme, its a mod of sicillian volume training, it focuses very much on tempo so its 4 down then 1 up, i followed it very closely and during the workout(chest and biceps) i was annihilated, my chest was really pumped but its wednesday and no DOMs at all, I thought i hit it hard but i guess not.

    Anyone ever have this before?

Why not wait a few weeks and see if you get results?

No DOMS does not neccessarily equal no results.

Ah im not thinking of packing it in, my mate who gave it to me swears by it and he is huge, I generally thought that DOMs meant that you hit the muscle hard and you were on the right track, I intend to up to weight next week anyway.

4 down and 1 up means its a 4 count down and then a 1 up.

I try to avoid DOMS while training tbh. It doesn't really mean anything.

It's one of the primary reasons I avoid going over sets of 10 in most exercises!

Cool, i was just afraid that i wasnt training hard enough and I am starting to eat a lot so that the last thing i want is a load of fat after 6 weeks instead of muscle!!

I don't get the DOMs unless its a muscle group I have neglected for ages. How acrive were you before the session on monday if you're a regular lifter then don't be surprised not to get them

Yeah im very regular, i generally try and train as hard as i can everytime, was the first time I hadnt gotten them and I thought it was a bit weird considering I was nearly reduced to tears during the workout.
