    Hi there,

I'm thinking of completely changing my line of work and was considering engaging the services of a life couch or career counselor to help me.
    Has anyone ever used one?
If so, could you recommend one?

    Thanks and Regards

Get onto James Sweetman. He's done a lot of work with us in college and I've found him t obe great.

I haven't used one but I know several people who've spoken highly of their experience with Henry Penix's organization. It's based out of Oklahoma but operates by telephone. All of the coaches are personally trained by him, which is important because he's a highly successful businessman/speaker/author. You can learn more about him here. His main program, The Gift , which contains audio material, a book, and workbook, also introduces you to his coaching package.
I have gone through that entire program and found it very inspiring and uplifting. I am a college student and just recently dropped out of a prestigious architecture school, so I, also, have been struggling with the direction of my career.
You can purchase the coaching sessions alone, but they don't seem to be available online yet. If you're interested, I would contact them info@hapm.com . He also has a blog (free, no registering) in which he frequently posts helpful snippets from his books.
Check it out, and I would advise that you get contact info and check up on the references of whoever you end up choosing. Good luck!
