Problem with Floyd Rose Bridge

    Hi,

I have a guitar playing 'friend' - not me honestly, I play bass.

He's stripped the threads on the screw hole for one of the fine tuners on the bridge.

Short of replacing the whole bridge has anyone any ideas what he can do?

    Or who could fix it.

I know you could re-thread the hole, and get a bigger screw, but where, or again any ideas who could do this?

    Thanks,
    Altoid

You could get a tap in McMillians in town (I think that's the shop) and do it yourself. Shouldn't cost more than €20 to get the tap, a handle and a screw. If you bring the bridge into them, they might be able to advise. Otherwise, you'll have to replace the entire plate.

How exactly did he strip the fine tuner threads?
