hi new to all this i have just bought a dbox and i cant get any channels can anyone help me plz? do i need new image?any advice at all will be helpful ty

google the DB or go to the official home page for their official image.
i would suggest an search of DB500 images first though !!:cool:

First Question :

Did you buy a dbox or a dreambox , they are different things ?

Second:

Is it pay tv (like sky with a paid sky card) or free channels you are after

To use the Dreambox 500s, you'd need a satellite dish, do you already have an tuner? If so, did the old tuner work with your dish?

Assuming you're replacing a Sky box, then the Dreambox should be set to scan for FTA channels on Astra 28.2 east. Maybe you've told it the wrong satellite or you have not set up the LNB details correctly?

It should not be essential to re-image. It's unlikely that it would not work somehow, for some channels, as purchased, unless its defective, in which case, bring it back.
