Ever been to the small claims court?

Following up on the "Ever been to court thread". I will be attending the small claims court in the near future (chasing a dodgy car dealership) and don't really know what to expect. Is it just two parties sitting in front of a Judge (is it a judge) pleading their case? Would the other crowd had a solicitor present? Is it…

Is it just two parties sitting in front of a Judge (is it a judge) pleading their case? Would the other crowd had a solicitor present? Is it worth it to them, max EUR2000 can be awarded I believe.
