Just wondering if they do and if so how do I access it?

Used to be news.cable.ntlworld.ie (port 119)

Might have changed since the UPC takeover

You;ll need to use a usenet program, outlook or thunderbird will do the job

Thanks for that... will I be able to download binary files using this?

It doesn't seem to connect if I add an NZB

Poor selection of binary groups on ntl afaik, if you want them be prepared to pay sadly

I don't think any ISP provided newsserver carries the binary groups.

Go for a decent news provider like Easynews. Only $10/month.

The retention ratio on the NTL news servers was pretty short last time I used them. Easynews or Giganews are better options and don't cost too much.
