Im pretty sure your results for the main event are innacurate regarding prize distribution. They dont take into account the deal done when they got down to 4 handed play.

    Michael Kiernan is taking €29,500
    Thomas Nolan is taking €24,500
    Ian Whitty is taking €15,000
and James Kenny is taking €11,500

Nope they played for €2000 on top and Michael Trimby won that

yea but i thought Thomas won at least 24500 and not 11500 as you said. i do know that Thomas came 4th but not for the value that u listed...(i'm going on what was posted on blondepoker.com)

its a pointless argument - but i'm kinda board so thought i'd just let u know.

Yeah Neill. According to reports on blondepoker and people there, the above prize money is the way it was chopped up(Michael Trimby 1st). You have finishing positions in the right order..

They also split the 2k when headsup so Trimby got €30.5 and Kenny got €12.5

Thats crazy that you didnt know

I assume that when the results go to the magazines this is how they will look as it would look strange with 4th getting more than 2nd just a theory

After the criticism of the big slick May ''dealmaking'' event.....with cries of 'no more dealmaking' ....'it ruins the event'........bingo 'no pressure' poker after the done deal..
just thought that the prize structure would have been structured to avoid allowing players having to do deals and with the TV cameras there would have seen the tourney played to a proper climax.................................................
Just thought the idea of entering a tourny was the intention to win not just to get in the top 5 to have the chance to discuss a deal.......
Not a direct criticism to mr Neil 'the gent' Kelly......but it seems that all major events here in Ireland seem to degenerate into dealmaking situations.........
NEVERTHELESS.......A SUPERBLY RUN FESTIVAL..........Did the sponsors give any added prize money?
    Great tables BTW.....
