just looking for a nod in the right direction if there is anyone on who can help... im in limerick for the night on business and looking for a game. the only casino im aware of is fitzpatricks which is 'satellite evening the cash' on their website but i ideally want a tourney to kill some time this evening, a cash game that starts at 11/12 kinda defeats the purpose.

thanks in advance to anyone with suggestions.
    gary

Gary your in Limerick, just barricade the hotel door and wait for daylight before venturing outside, poker should be the least of your worries.

Yeah what are you thinking?. Have you been drinking Gary?.
They may seem dumb to an educated guy like you in their v-neck golf jumpers, but make no mistake, Gary, animals are very cunning, and they sense weakness.

edit to say: im only joshing about Limerick im sure its grand. Im hearing less and less about it in the news these days anyway.

    ...its actually much, much worse!!:D

Cant remember the last time I played in town tbh - I ventured into the Vic once when they were open and wasn't impressed at all. More like a game of snap than poker!

Havent been in Fitzpatricks tbh, but from what I've heard its supposed to be a nice set-up. Dont know about the standard tho.

Dont know tbh - I was only ever in there the one time. Was working up in Dublin a lot at the time, and also trying to fit in the studies. I was talking to John about this when the Vic first opened, and he was quite open about how bad the standard was.

It was horrendous, but that can also be a good thing eh!:) Pity I didnt get to play any cash games there - heard of an all-in call for a couple of hundred by one particular player who had 3,8 sooooted!
