Games for a duffer in Vegas

I know many / most of you are serious poker people but....can anyone point me to the right place and/or type of game in Las Vegas for a duffer like me. I only play $10/$20 STTs online. I just want to play low-ball stuff, have a beer or two and enjoy myself. I like how an STT works - is there much Sit n Go single table stuff over there or am I looking at a low-ball freezeout kind of game? I know casinos have to cover their costs so I'm not expecting there to be too much at this end of the scale but if anyone has any tips they'd be much appreciated.

The casinos have plenty of low limit MTT im not sure about STT. People have a perception that all the games in vegas are high limit big buy in tourneys.

There are plenty of $10-$50 MTTs going on in the Casinos!

The MGM have 60 Dollar STT games during peak times, didn't play any as I was quite happy on the cash tables. There will be an interest list displayed on screens usually during peak hours. They also have two MTT's a day on certain days.

    Full listing of all tournaments.

I think you are better off paying a bit extra, maybe round about a $120 for a decent MTT. The exchange rate is in your favour big-time so splash out.
Any of the casinos that run STTs usually have a horrid structure with 20% rake and 15 minute blinds (which often means as little as 3 or 4 hands).

Also don't be afraid to sit down with $150 at a $1/$2 cash table, grab a free drink anytime the waitresses come around, and play next to no hands other than pocket pairs/suited Aces etc when you can get in cheap. Raise the bejazzus out of QQ+.
If you make a hand then despite your rocklike image people will pay you off.

I play only $20 STTs online, no cash experience other than about 10 hours (breakeven at best) 5c/10c, yet was still able to profit at $1/$2 cash in LV.

I was there on my honeymoon 7 weeks ago and managed to get some decent hours playing poker. There are lots of exhibitions that may be of interest to the GF promote them alot... Titantic exhibition, Wax works etc = poker time...

Going back in early next year hopefully.

Just an update on this. All the advice I got here was bang-on and the site above was a great reference also (http://www.allvegaspoker.com/).

If you're in a similar position to me i.e. clueless the low-ball tourneys and SnGs tend to be on early in the day. At the Luxor where I stayed the cash games were 2/4 NL and 3/6 Limit so these were not for me. I did play a $62 freezeout and made it to the last 7 but as others have said the blind structure was silly. To top it all the beers made me attempt to steal the big-blind with Q4 thinking everyone else had folded and of course I missed someones all-in and that was all she wrote. Really enjoyed the experience though which is what I was after.
