i suppose this is the section for this if not sorry

i just recently noticed that all my folders have locked down as read-only and wont change if i turn off read - only it turns itself back on every folder on my computer is like this dont think its a virus cause have done a number of scans(strangly its only for some folders even though its says all folders are locker)
my file archiving is off but indexing is on

im also having a prob with msconfig which i thought might be connected when i go to msconfig and try to turn something off it says access denied cant change must have admins permission (even though i am the admin) then it changes anyway

very annoying anyone encountered this before??
