Hope someone can help coz winter is here.I have a renault laguna II 2002 model 1.6 petrol. The Driver side blower is only putting out cold air regardless of what temp. I set it to, but the passenger side is working fine. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, but no jokes about buying a renault please.....

Does it have A/C fitted? If so it could well be the A/C control unit which costs a good few quid, IIRC. Seen it happen on loads of Lagunas. I've also encountered problems with temperature flap positioner motors. If I was you I'd try a scrappie for the control unit first, but I'd be inclined to make sure it works before purchasing. Its easily removed as it's built into the unit with the temperature and flap controls.

Thanks crosstownk, the problem is happening even if the A/C is off. someone told me that it may be a blocked heater pipe as it is only happening on one side????. Please excuse my ignorance if that sounds stupid but i'm no good when it comes to cars.

I doubt it's a blocked pipe. There maybe a zone valve (I know Audis have one) so maybe that's at fault. I'm no Renault expert, but most of the A/C problems I've seen on Renaults are related to electronics faults.
